David P. Cantrell lives with his wife of four decades in the beautiful coastal community of Arroyo Grande in central California. He’s a retired CPA. A spinal cord injury in 2009, ended his career and his love affair with woodworking. The injury left him paralyzed from the neck down, but with the help and love of his wife and caring therapists, he’s recovered significant function, although he’s wheelchair-bound.
A chance encounter with a Science Fiction author, Jasper T. Scott, changed his life. Dave accepted an offer to be a beta reader for one of Jasper’s Dark Space novels. He had no idea what a beta reader did, so he did what he wanted to do. Jasper understood his newbie status, but more importantly, he encouraged his efforts. David went on to be a structural editor for several authors and now ventures into the novelist realm.
